Est\u00e1 en el centro de la ciudad. El lago sol\u00eda ser de agua dulce, pero luego se conect\u00f3 con el mar.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan la mitolog\u00eda griega, la propia Atenea se ba\u00f1\u00f3 en sus aguas. Hoy en d\u00eda, adorables patos y gansos nadan en el lago.<\/p>\n<p>El mejor lugar para tomar fotos es la iglesia junto a la cueva del pescador. Tambi\u00e9n ve por la noche para verlo iluminado en todo su esplendor. La m\u00e1s lejana es la <strong>Playa Ammoudi<\/strong>, al norte. Esta estrecha playa tiene aguas cristalinas. Dado que es una bah\u00eda, es perfecta para nadar.<\/p>\n<p>La siguiente hacia el sur es a\u00fan m\u00e1s peque\u00f1a: <strong>Koundouros<\/strong>. Es ideal para practicar snorkel. Ah\u00ed mismo puedes alquilar equipo. La playa de <strong>Cosmina<\/strong> est\u00e1 junto al puerto. En esta diminuta playa de piedras puedes darte un chapuz\u00f3n. Hay una ducha de agua dulce.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kitroplatia<\/strong> al sur es muy popular. Es de piedras. Puedes alquilar una tumbona y usar las duchas p\u00fablicas. Sin embargo, nuestra playa favorita es <strong>Ammos<\/strong>. Es de arena. La m\u00e1s antigua y que da nombre a la ciudad es <strong>San Nicol\u00e1s<\/strong>, del siglo VII. Est\u00e1 dentro del <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/gr\/minos-palace.en.html?aid=2426799&amp;no_rooms=1&amp;group_adults=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"sponsored noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Minos Palace Hotel<\/strong><\/a>. Puedes pedir la llave en la recepci\u00f3n y entrar.<\/p>\n<p>La <strong>Catedral de Agia Triada<\/strong> (Sant\u00edsima Trinidad) es la m\u00e1s grande e importante. Los lugare\u00f1os la visitan para orar, as\u00ed que s\u00e9 respetuoso. Es un lugar ideal para que experimentes la cultura griega.<\/p>\n<p>Para disfrutar de vistas impresionantes sobre el puerto, ve a <strong>Agia Paraskevi<\/strong>. Puedes descansar bajo olivos centenarios frente a la iglesia. Nuestra iglesia favorita es <strong>San Atanasio<\/strong>. Es un edificio contempor\u00e1neo a 10 minutos a pie del lago, rodeado de un jard\u00edn.<\/p>\n<p>El museo tiene dos secciones. Una est\u00e1 dedicada a la civilizaci\u00f3n minoica que domin\u00f3 Creta hace 5000 a\u00f1os. La otra est\u00e1 dedicada a restos griegos y romanos.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a1Hay m\u00e1s de 1200 art\u00edculos de cer\u00e1mica! Sin embargo, lo que m\u00e1s llam\u00f3 nuestra atenci\u00f3n fueron las piezas de oro y bronce. No solo nos referimos a la comida, sino tambi\u00e9n a las vistas incre\u00edbles. Puedes probar yogur de cabra casero en cualquiera de las tabernas alrededor del lago. Nuestro caf\u00e9 favorito es <strong>Zygos Urban Garden<\/strong>, directamente frente al lago.<\/p>\n<p>Siempre picamos algo en <strong>Palazzo Cafe Bar<\/strong>, con vista a la Playa Koundouros. Para c\u00f3cteles, dir\u00edgete a la azotea del <a href=\"https:\/\/arc.com.gr\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>ARC Espresso &amp; Cocktail Bar<\/strong><\/a>. Las vistas sobre el lago y el mar te dejar\u00e1n sin aliento.<\/p>\n<p>Para mezclarte con la gente local y tomar algo, ve al <strong>Yanni\u2019s Rock Bar<\/strong>, junto al puerto. La m\u00e1s grande es <strong>Agioi Pantes<\/strong>. Puedes llegar all\u00ed en un viaje de corto en bote desde la Playa Ammoudi.<\/p>\n<p>Ver\u00e1s los restos de infraestructuras militares utilizadas por los italianos durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. El paisaje es impresionante. No hay coches y puedes caminar durante horas. Aqu\u00ed vive la cabra de Creta, en peligro de extinci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>La incre\u00edble playa de arena de Agioi Pantes est\u00e1 en la costa occidental de la isla. Por eso fuimos a la <strong>ciudad antigua de Lato<\/strong>. La ciudad alcanz\u00f3 su apogeo en el siglo V a.C. Es el lugar de nacimiento de Leto, la madre de Apolo. Desde all\u00ed puedes caminar hasta <strong>Kritsa<\/strong>, uno de los pueblos m\u00e1s antiguos y bonitos de Creta.<\/p>\n<p>Toda la zona es perfecta para caminatas. Te recomendamos de coraz\u00f3n pasar al menos una noche en Kritsa. Puedes caminar hasta el <strong>Ca\u00f1\u00f3n de Kritsa<\/strong> y a la incre\u00edble <strong>Iglesia de Keras<\/strong>. La zona es muy tranquila y ofrece playas de arena y mucha naturaleza.
