Osnovan je tokom Gr\u010dkog rata za nezavisnost od strane izbeglica sa drugih ostrva i ubrzo je postao glavna luka zemlje i va\u017eno trgova\u010dko sredi\u0161te.<\/p>\n<p>Grad je cvetao tokom 19. veka, a mnoge gra\u0111evine iz tog perioda daju mu prepoznatljiv neoklasi\u010dni izgled. Iako je tokom 20. veka pro\u0161ao kroz te\u017eak period, poslednjih godina je do\u017eiveo procvat zahvaljuju\u0107i turizmu.<\/p>\n<p>Danas je Ermupoli grad pun \u017eivota. To je glavni grad ostrva <strong>Siros<\/strong>, prestonica <strong>Kiklada<\/strong> i administrativni centar <strong>Ju\u017enog Egeja<\/strong>. kada stigne\u0161 u luku jeste \u0161areni stari grad Ermupolija. Grad se iz luke uzdi\u017ee ka okolnim brdima i planinama, a njegov stari deo je lavirint ulica koje se pru\u017eaju paralelno i popre\u010dno uz more.<\/p>\n<p>Pro\u0161etaj severno od luke uz obalu \u2013 tu se nalaze neke od najboljih taverni i restorana. Skreni levo, pa desno u <strong>pe\u0161a\u010dku ulicu Parou<\/strong>. Tu \u0107e\u0161 na\u0107i hladovinu i brojne \u0161armantne lokalne prodavnice. Siros je i dalje jedno od <a href=\"https:\/\/inlovewithgreece.com\/sr\/manje-poznata-grcka-ostrva-koje-treba-posetiti-pre-nego-sto-postanu-popularna\/\"><strong>manje pose\u0107enih gr\u010dkih ostrva<\/strong><\/a>, pa verovatno ne\u0107e\u0161 nai\u0107i na gu\u017evu.<\/p>\n<p>Obavezno istra\u017ei i kvart <strong>Vaporia<\/strong>, severoisto\u010dno od luke. Pro\u0161etaj do glavnog trga, pa ulicama M. Merkouri i Agiou Nikolaou do ove o\u010daravaju\u0107e \u010detvrti. Njegov neoklasi\u010dni izgled je jedinstven u Gr\u010dkoj. Ovde se nalaze Gradska ku\u0107a, Kulturni centar op\u0161tine, Arheolo\u0161ki muzej i dva suda.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gradska ku\u0107a<\/strong>, delo \u010duvenog nema\u010dkog arhitekte Ernsta Zillera (poznatog po neoklasi\u010dnim zgradama u Atini), kombinuje gr\u010dku klasi\u010dnu arhitekturu sa zapadnim romantizmom.<\/p>\n<p>Razno drve\u0107e pru\u017ea hladovinu du\u017e severne i ju\u017ene strane trga, a u nekoliko kafi\u0107a mo\u017ee\u0161 da predahne\u0161. Gradska ku\u0107a je otvorena radnim danima od 8 do 15 \u010dasova. Otvoreno je 1864. godine izvo\u0111enjem Verdijevog \u2018Rigoleta\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Zgrada je vi\u0161e puta rekonstruisana. Za razliku od skromne spolja\u0161nosti, enterijer je bogato ukra\u0161en oslikanim plafonom, elegantnim lusterima i klasi\u010dnim skulpturama.<\/p>\n<p>Danas se ovde odr\u017eavaju predstave, koncerti i izlo\u017ebe. U zgradi se tokom godine organizuje vi\u0161e kulturnih festivala. To je mermerna gra\u0111evina sa stubovima, dva visoka zvonika i velikom kupolom. Prepozna\u0107e\u0161 je po \u017euto-plavo-crvenim bojama.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Crkva Preobra\u017eenja Gospodnjeg<\/strong> (Metamorphosis) najstarija je u gradu. To je trobrodna bazilika sa kupolom i dva zvonika, sli\u010dna crkvi Panagije na <a href=\"https:\/\/inlovewithgreece.com\/sr\/sta-raditi-na-tinosu-predivnom-ostrvu-u-kikladima\/\"><strong>Tinosu<\/strong><\/a>. Danas slu\u017ei kao sedi\u0161te episkopa.<\/p>\n<p>Tre\u0107a nezaobilazna crkva je <strong>Uspenje Presvete Bogorodice<\/strong>. Iznad pla\u017ee uzdi\u017ee se veli\u010danstvena crkva Svetog Nikole, stvaraju\u0107i savr\u0161enu pozadinu za fotografisanje.<\/p>\n<p>Pla\u017ea je pravougaona betonska platforma sa suncobranima. Mnogi lokalci dolaze ovde na kupanje i odmaranje, a mo\u017ee\u0161 videti i patke i guske. Na\u0161 omiljeni je <a href=\"https:\/\/kyveli.eu\/en\/home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Institut Kyveli<\/strong><\/a>, u blizini crkve Svetog Nikole. Jedna od najlep\u0161ih \u0161etnji vodi iz centra grada do srednjovekovnog <strong>Ano Sirosa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Ovaj grad su u 13. veku osnovali Mle\u010dani.
